Benefeast is seeking volunteers and nominees as we bring the community together to help neighbors who are living with cancer.

NOMINATE SOMEONE TO RECEIVE SUPPORT FROM BENEFEAST

VOLUNTEER TO HELP INDIVIDUALS IN OUR COMMUNITY WHO ARE LIVING WITH CANCER.  Fill out the form at the bottom of the page to become a Benefeast volunteer.

Ways you can help:

  •  Make meals/cook
  •  Deliver meals (there may be times when someone can cook a meal, but not deliver it)
  •  Run errands (pick up prescriptions, go to the grocery store)
  •  Mowing the lawn
  •  Raking leaves
  •  Snow removal - shoveling
  •  Snow removal - plowing
  •  Transportation to/from appointments
  •  Serve on Benefeast planning committee (for annual event) - meets monthly
  •  Serve on Benefeast coordinator committee - meets quarterly and as needed (to coordinate new recipient needs)
  •  Visit (*additional training and clearances may be required)
  •  Provide respite for the primary caregive (*additional training and clearances may be required)
  •  Dog walking
  •  Pet sitting (for times when away for treatment or in hospital)
  •  Babysitting (*additional training, background checks and clearances are required.)
  •  Do laundry
  •  Make phone calls
  •  Help recipients with paperwork
  •  Housekeeping
  •  Garden care (watering garden, weeding)
  •  Making/donating new blankets or shawls
  •  Benefeast prayer chain (praying for people living with cancer)
  •  Send cards and notes of encouragement
  •  Doing car repairs or maintenance
  •  Home repairs
  •  Serving on a team who will help modify homes for people who need things like ramps and safety bars
